Important update H1N1

In response to a potential H1N1 outbreak and the possible closure of individual classes, all staff have been working on plans to ensure that all courses can continue while students are at home. Please download the letter for more important details about these plans. It is vital that you complete the form and return it to your child's homeroom teacher by Tuesday, 6 October.

A wonderful experience for student teachers at TIS

Each year, TIS hosts student teachers from universities in Alberta. Student teaching provides the student teacher, the school, the students, and the mentor teacher with great opportunities.

TIS Sports Teams

TIS Team information can now be found on the Athletics page of the website - http://www.tis.edu.mo/arts-athletics.htm

Details will include commencement dates, times and locations of practice, coach name and tournament dates.

THRASS Workshops, 1-2 October

Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend the THRASS Certificate Course. Registration forms are available in all classrooms.

Second Hand Uniforms

Second hand uniforms are now available in the foyer. Please make a donation to TISPA at the front office for any uniforms that you take.

Curriculum Night, Thursday, 10 September 6-8pm

Schedule for Primary School Pre K - Grade 6
Parents are invited to attend the TIS Curriculum Night, this Thursday night, commencing at 6pm in the MPR.
6:00pm - all staff and parents will gather in the MPR
6:30pm - parents visit classrooms for teacher presentations
7:15pm - parents visit classrooms for repeat of teacher presentations

Schedule for Secondary School
Parents are invited to drop in to see Secondary teachers during Curriculum Night. Maps are available in the front office to assist in finding classrooms.

Sports RUSH Assembly, Friday 11 September Gr 4-12

Students in grades 4-12 will be able to sign up for the different sports teams at TIS on Friday, 11 September, to compete in DSEJ and SCICAC leagues. At the assembly, students will be able to meet the coach, collect information, and receive a parent permission form if they want to join.

Times for the sign up are:-
Grade 7-12 - 12:50-1:30 in the MPR
Grade 4-6 - 1:45-2:25 in the MPR
