Student Led Conferences Pre K- Grade 6

TIS is conducting student led conferences for Pre K - Grade 6, as an alternative to the traditional parent teacher interview. Every child in these grades is preparing for their conference.

Classroom teachers have asked for your preference when you will be able to come in with your child for the Student led conference, either the evening of March 18 or the morning of March 19.

The teachers and students have been busy getting ready for this session.

Each child will be putting in a great deal of effort to prepare for the conference so it is very important that each parent attend with their child eliminating any disappointment.

Last year the grade 4 classes who piloted this approach had almost 100% parent involvement.

It is a wonderful opportunity for a parent to engage in thoughtful discussion with their child on their progress.

Report cards will go home on Friday, March 12. You will be receiving a special invitation or letter stating the time of your conference.
