TIS Homestay Recruiting

Dear Parents and/or Guardians 親愛的家長/監護人：

As you may know, TIS is a member of the South China International Schools Athletic Conference (SCISAC) which governs our middle school international athletic competitions and cultural exchanges. Each year in SCISAC students in grade 6-9 travel to different cultural events and sports competitions throughout Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan. They stay in homes with families and students from other schools. The International School Of Macao has the distinct pleasure of hosting the SCISAC Middle School Basketball Tournament. Six teams will be competing May 17-19 at TIS.

澳門國際學校是南中國國際學校體育大會（SCISAC）的會員，該會監管各會員之中學校際體育比賽及文化交流。每年，來自 SCISAC 的小六至初三學生會到香港，中國及台灣參與不同文化活動及體育比賽，他們會留宿在當地學生的家庭。澳門國際學校很榮幸將於 5 月17-19日主辦SCISAC中學生籃球錦標賽，到時有六支隊伍參加比賽。



Approximately 80 students will arrive in Macao and need to be housed from Thursday May 17th evening until Sunday May 20th morning. The competing schools are:

屆時，將有大約80名學生抵澳， 由5月17日晚上至5月20日上午，我們需要為他們安排住宿 。參賽學校包括：

* Hong Kong Academy 香港演藝學院 (HKA)
* Ivy Collegiate Academy 常春藤高校學院 (ICA)
* Xiamen International School 廈門國際學校 (XIS)
* Utahloy International School of ZengCheng 增城裕達隆國際學校 (UISZC)
* Leman International School 的萊蒙國際學校 (LIS)



We are asking that you open your homes to host as many guests as you comfortably can for those three (3) nights. 特此懇請 貴家長能為該批學生在家安排3晚住宿。

The basic itinerary will be 基本的行程將是：

Thursday, May 17, 2012 5月17日，星期四

· Teams arrive at TIS (1-2pm) 到達本校（1 - 下午2:00）

· First Round of Games 4:30-8:00pm 的第一輪比賽下午 4:30-8:00

· 8:30 Students depart for host homes 8:30離開留宿家庭

· Dinner at host homes 晚飯於留宿家庭

· Host family provides breakfast for athletes 留宿家庭為運動員提供早餐

· Full day of competition at TIS 全天比賽

· Teams meet at TIS for departure process 在本校集合後，離開澳門

Our goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for these young people traveling to Macao. 我們的目標是提供一個安全及舒適的環境給參賽學生。

A Housing Committee has been set up and we are requesting you to fill out the information form attached and return it to your homeroom teacher no later than Friday, April 13, 2012, so you can be contacted with confirmation. 住宿委員會已成立，請 貴家長填寫附表，並於 2012年4月13日或之前簽回及交予班主任老師，我們將於稍後聯絡家長。
