TIS Launches Student Exchange Program

The International School of Macao and Alberta Education have developed a student exchange program between TIS students and students from Alberta. TIS is accredited with Alberta Education and shares the same curriculum with schools in Alberta. Exchange students will be able to earn full credits in their courses whilst on exchange in either Macao or Alberta. The exchange period will take place over one school year, divided equally between each country. Students will attend school together in the same location at the same time. “TIS is very excited about this new initiative as it will allow students to spend time learning about each other’s culture and country at the same time as earning full credits for their courses. This is a wonderful learning experience for teenage students to grow in independence and understanding of other cultures,” Mr. Howard Stribbell, Head of Schools states. TIS will officially launch this program with The Hon Jeff Johnson, Minister for Education, Alberta Government on Friday, 25 May, 2pm, at The International School of Macao.
