Flu Situation in Hong Kong

This morning, Hong Kong closed their primary schools and kindergartens because of a suspected outbreak of influenza. In 2003 when the SARS pandemic broke out in Hong Kong, Macau schools (including TIS) did not close.

Mr. Johnston will be in close contact with Mr. Sou, the director of the education department to monitor the situation in Hong Kong and Macau's reaction.

At this time TIS will remain open. Any additional information will be communicated to staff via email and parents through the school website as it is made available.

TIS has implemented extra cleaning and other precautionary measures this morning.
