TIS and two other local schools in Taipa have formed a new sports league which will provide students with a greater opportunity for athletic involvement and some friendly competition.
TIS, Sheng Kung Hui and Fong Chong schools are behind the new initiative, which includes table tennis, mini soccer, basketball and badminton tournaments for boys and girls aged 8-16 years old. Mini soccer and table tennis will run from January to March, followed by basketball and badminton in the spring.
“This league is something all three schools really wanted and needed. Not only does it enable our students to compete against each other and improve their own standards, but it also provides them with a unique opportunity to make new friends through competitive sports.“ said Real Hryhirchuk, principal of TIS.
