Online Resource Keeps TIS Community Connected

If you haven’t logged on to TIS Class Connect yet, then you’re missing out on a great new online resource.

The service offers parents and secondary students in grades 7-11 confidential, real-time access to important academic information including grades, attendance, conduct, report cards, schedules and assignments.

“Class Connect facilitates improved communication between home and school.” says TIS Vice Principal Howard Stribbell.

Cecilia Brand agrees. As both a TIS teacher and parent of two sons at the school, she has found Class Connect to be a very useful tool for monitoring their progress.

“Before, you had to wait for a report card to see how your kids were doing, but now, you can see what marks they’re getting on each assignment.”

Grade nine teacher Mr. Chris Lee uses Class Connect regularly to post assignments, due dates, grades and other information relevant to his classes. He says students can benefit as much as parents from using the service. “Class Connect eliminates report card surprises. Students can get immediate feedback on how they’ve done on different assignments and tests.”

A log in and password are required to access Class Connect, and were included with the November report cards. However, if you no longer have the information, just e-mail helpdesk@tis.edu.mo and you will receive a new log in and password in a few days.
